Inde Motorsports Ranch New Track Opening in Arizona

Publishsed by Dan on August 13th, 2009 | Posted in Random World | No Comments »

We were just passed on a blurb that a new track in the region of Wilcox, Arizona is opening up.  Inde Motorsports Ranch is exactly what the Southwest will need.

“The track at Inde Motorsports Ranch is a 2.75 mile, 18 turn circuit with nearly a mile of accumulative straightaway distance. The track can accommodate 18 unique configurations and can be bifurcated to simultaneously run 2 separate circuits. We have incorporated nearly 100 feet of elevation changes with sharp, challenging corners to offer our members a highly technical course. The longest straightaway is 2200’ and the fastest cars and motorcycles can reach nearly 180 mph. The challenging corners and high speed straights enable IMR to provide a perfect balance that will test the driving skills of professional racers but also provide pure enjoyment for racing and touring drivers of all skill levels.”

Not Your Normal Tuner Car – Cadillac CTS-V

Publishsed by Dan on January 14th, 2009 | Posted in Client Cars, Random World | No Comments »

When someone asks you about what is a good tuner car to buy used that is fast, handles well, and looks good, most think of the normal cars.  STI, EVO, Porsche, Nissan, etc…  But for Derek, this Cadillac CTS-V was his answer.  He picked up the V8 machine used which was equipped with some 20 inch wheels that were all blingy.  So Derek brought the car to Vivid Racing and we transformed his Cadillac CTS-V from an old man cruiser to a V6 bruiser!  We added the K&N cold air intake kit for increased horsepower and throttle response.  Next was a custom exhaust system to let the V8 rip.  Derek liked his wheels but did not want the chrome look anymore.  So our wheel reconditioning service went straight to work.  We dismounted the Pirelli tires and seperated the 3 piece wheels.  The outside hoops were powdercoated flat black and the centers were done in silver to match the car.  Since the wheel centers were now silver, the stock silver Brembo brakes were hard to see, and that CTSV logo just did not work for him.  We fired up the airbrush and went to work painting all the calipers a gloss red.  To give it the final touch, we added the Vivid Racing logo and then clear coated over it.  This is just another instance of true customization!

Gilbert Neighborhood Car Show for Breast Cancer

Publishsed by Dan on November 3rd, 2008 | Posted in Random World | No Comments »

Recently, the neighborhood where I live had a car show to raise money for Breast Cancer.  The turn out was pretty large and many interesting vehicles were brought out.  Vivid Racing donated to the cause and also brought out our Porsche 997 Turbo and Audi A3 to display.  Amongst the awesome American Muscle cars there were some interesting dragsters, an old restored fire truck,  and even this pristine Porsche 993 Turbo.
