One of the most important upgrades for the Porsche 996 Turbo is to replace the factory Bosch diverter valves. The factory valves are prone to leaking pressure under increased boost when the car has an upgraded ECU flash. As well, the factory Bosch valves will taper boost off with the diaphragm design even at stock boost levels. To help keep the boost pressure constant all the way to redline, upgrading the stock diverter valves to the Agency Power Racing Diverter Valve Kit will improve your cars overall performance.

These valves are CNC machined 6061 aluminum which have been precision engineered to fit with the stock or aftermarket F-Hose and intake return hoses. The internal construction of the valve uses a machined piston with proper o-rings to ensure a smooth motion that is air tight to prevent any boost leaks. The spring has been engineered to hold moderate to aggressive boost increases on the 996TT vehicles. The valves feature a 90 degree removable swivel connection for easy fitting with the factory vacuum hose. If needed, the top of the valve unscrews allowing you to re-greased and service the valve. Valves are available in a polished finish and feature the Agency Power text and logo laser engraved on the top. As tested, these valves are a great upgrade for stock K16 or K24 cars and have even been used in our 700HP turbo kits. Valves are sold as a pair for the 2001-2005 Porsche 996 Turbo.

Vivid Racing got the opportunity to test the new Agency Power Cold Air Intake and Blow Off Valve on the new 2008 Subaru STI. The intake has already been tested on the new 2008 WRX, with power results show great gains. The STI features a stronger engine and platform so we wanted to see what the results would yield. This STI was completely unmodified. The Blow Off Valve was set to vent 100% atmosphere. The cold air intake was installed after the baseline dyno test was done showing 242HP and 257ft/lbs of torque to the wheels. The after result showed a peak horsepower gain of close to 40whp at 5300rpm and a gain of 22whp at 6500rpm. The torque peak was the same at stock, however after 4500rpm the torque stayed consistantly at an increase of around 20ft/lbs.

This intake is available as a short ram or cold air intake and includes a high flow K&N cone air filter, matching wrinkle red intake tube, AP silicone coupler, and aluminum heat shield. You can purchase this intake and other parts for your Subaru WRX or STI on our Performance Parts Store Here.

Believe us when we say this will not be the last set of wheels on our EVO X! But for now, we pulled from our huge Volk and Advan inventory these 18×9 Advan RS in Gunmetal. With a 29mm offset, the multispoke wheels give the EVO X red a good contrast. Thanks to Toyo Tires, we have the all new Toyo R1R tires in a 255/35/18. These are a pretty aggressive street tire and we look forward to running them down! We also took some Red Lug Nuts from the shelf for that full look. The stock wheels and tires weighed about 49lbs where these Advan and Toyo combo weighed in at 44lbs.

We also tested fitted our 18×8.5 Agency Power wheels which fit perfect and test fitted a stock EVO IX MR wheel in 17×8 which was a NO GO.

I think a nice set of 19×10 need to come next with some suspension! Or do we have some suspension already????
