Vivid Racing just finished a local customers project which transformed his Porsche Cayman into a mean looking street machine.  The car is lowered with H&R springs, we then added the TechArt Formula I wheels in silver with Pirelli Tires.  We added the Remus catback exhaust system with aggressive dual tip and then slapped on his Precision Porsche aero kit.  Small details include the clear side markers, smoked brake light, tinted tail lights, and limo tint windows.

Agency Power released their all new beefier shifter linkage for the Porsche cars. This linkage fits on the 996, 997, Boxster, and Cayman. The CNC machined aluminum linkage features a delrin insert for the shifter ball to fit into. The factory plastic one with rubber fitting is known to break under hard shifts and long term use. This piece gives you a more precise shift without all that sloppy play. This shifter linkage in conjunction with their short shifter offers an incredible package. An explosion took place in Porsche’s main factory in Zuffenhausen early this morning, temporarily stopping production of the 911. It’s believed that gas leaked from a PVC oven in the paint room, causing the explosion. Two workers suffered minor injuries, there’s no word yet on the extent of damage to the vehicles. During the subsequent fire, the factory’s sprinkler system was activated, flooding portions of the factory and presumably causing more damage.

Porsche will be halting 911 production for up to three days, normal production stands at roughly 160 units per day. The Cayenne, Boxster and Cayman are unaffected. Local police are investigating the cause of the explosion, expect more details later.

Improving throttle response, horsepower, torque, and engine sound, the Agency Power cold air intake for the Porsche Boxster is your answer to a better driving experience. Tested for air flow and MAF voltage readings, Agency Power has developed a check engine light free intake that is able to add performance to the Porsche Boxster. The all aluminum intake tube retains the factory diameter including our CNC machined 6061 aluminum MAF housing. Fitting up to the stock intake hose with no hassles, the filter then is secured behind our heat shield. The heat shield is built to separate the filter and the motor to keep the incoming air flow from the side intake duct a true Cold Air experience. The heat shield fits snuggly in place of the factory box and is made from light weight aluminum. The shield includes adjustable brackets which fit to the stock location.

As tested on a Boxster S using a Mustang all wheel drive dyno, the intake made a very respectable 5-7 wheel horsepower gain from 4000 to 6000 rpm with a peak increase of 2 wheel horsepower. The intake improved torque between 6-8 ft/lbs at the wheels from start to about 6000 rpm with a peak increase of 7ft/lbs. With a drive train loss of 15%, the intake will give your Boxster approximately a 9.2 crank horsepower gain.

The intakes include a K&N high flow cone air filter which is reusable for the life of the vehicle. The intakes come finished in a black powder coat. The Agency Power intake system fits all 98-04 Porsche Boxster and Boxster S vehicles.
