New Agency Power Racing Intercoolers for Porsche 996TT

Publishsed by Dan on July 25th, 2008 | Posted in Product Info | No Comments »

As you step up the power level on your 996 Turbo, having proper cooling efficiency is mandatory to maximize your turbo performance. Street and track cars will heavily benefit from the use of our upgraded intercoolers. The factory Porsche intercooler core is great, but their end tanks are what is lacking. Agency Power has developed these complete intercooler replacements for your Porsche 996 Turbo.

The bar and plate intercooler core is designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency for turbo cars producing up to 950 horsepower. The cast end tanks are aluminum and then precision welded to the thick racing upgraded cores. The ends of the intercoolers are designed to work with your factory style boost hose fittings or our Agency Power silicone boost hose kit. The intercoolers retain the factory mounting positions and come in a polished finished.

The intercoolers fit all Porsche 996 TT, X50, and GT2 vehicles from 2001-2005.

The CNC machined aluminum linkage features a delrin insert for the shifter ball to fit into. The factory plastic one with rubber fitting is known to break under hard shifts and long term use. Explosion In Porsche Factory Stops Production

Publishsed by Dan on February 29th, 2008 | Posted in Random World | No Comments »

An explosion took place in Porsche’s main factory in Zuffenhausen early this morning, temporarily stopping production of the 911. It’s believed that gas leaked from a PVC oven in the paint room, causing the explosion. Two workers suffered minor injuries, there’s no word yet on the extent of damage to the vehicles. During the subsequent fire, the factory’s sprinkler system was activated, flooding portions of the factory and presumably causing more damage.

Porsche will be halting 911 production for up to three days, normal production stands at roughly 160 units per day. The Cayenne, Boxster and Cayman are unaffected. Local police are investigating the cause of the explosion, expect more details later.
