As mentioned in a previous blog by us, Vivid Racing received a Ferrari 355 Berlinetta to perform a required 2 year maintenance. After replacing the cam belts, timing belts, head gaskets and a water pump, Vivid Racing added a performance exhaust by Tubi. The Tubi exhaust allows better flow and reduced restriction that in turn, gives this 355 a wicked growl and performance. The last step of this 355 is a K40 Radar detector to help keep the owner ticket free.

Someone forwarded this to me and I was bored until the Ferrari with F1 paddle shifters hit the first straight.  Quote from the video poster, “This video is a complete spoof intended to poke fun back at three guys that have ribbed me about having a Formula 1 (paddle shifter) gearbox in my racecar. A buddy of mine was chattin up about the NEEZ Magnesium Wheels for his Porsche.  At $10,000 a set, these are definitely a dream wheel.  Soon after, the pictures started to come to me through chat of all these awesome exotics with the NEEZ wheels installed.  I guess if your car is a Half Million, $10K cant hurt!

This was probably the best transition period Ferrari for me between the MagnumPI 308 and the stock broker 360 Modena Ferrari.  The 355 Berlinetta (Italian for “Little Saloon”), was made from 1994 to 1999 with this one in particular a 1995.  Their were 3 models made of the 355.  A Spyder, GTS, and the Berlinetta (coupe).  One major difference between the V8 in the Ferrari 348 and that in the F355, apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 L, is that the F355 features a 5-valve per cylinder head and that it was considerably more powerful, producing 375 hp.  The F355 is more common than other Ferraris with 11,273 units produced.

This 355 was shipped to Vivid Racing to get a general maintenance done and some toys.  We will be adding the Tubi Exhaust system to give it more growl along with a K40 Radar Detector kit.  Check out all our Ferrari Performance Parts and Wheels Here.
