One of our customers sent us pictures of his full race Porsche 996 GT2RSR tearing around the track.  Wayne has built this machine along with many others at their racing workshop, Hennig Motorsports, in Queensland, Australia.  Vivid Racing only had a small hand in helping deliver the strong power this car needed to win races.  Wayne equipped his race car with the Agency Power 650 Garrett GT2860rs turbo kit.  Wayne’s goal was to get great exact speed but still have a strong top end power band.  With the external wastegates producing high amounts of torque, this was the best kit for his needs.  Some modifications did have to be made because of the race car setup.  First, because of the high heat experienced lap after lap, we had to do a custom steel braided water line kit for this car.  In addition, Wayne is running special RSR sway bars which mount different then the conventional OEM sway bar and sway bar link.  Because of this, the dump tube for the Tial 44mm wastegate had to be relocated.  But after some small changes, track testing, and tuning with his Motec standalone ECU, Wayne got his RSR dialed.  Thanks for sticking with us Wayne!  Check out the pictures below!

Vivid Racing’s Project 997TT is undergoing some new changes to keep it looking fresh.  While the car has been kept on the download during our prototyping of the new induction system, we thought we would post up some sneak pics of the new MAShaw GT2 rear wing and TechArt side skirts being installed.  The MAShaw GT2 rear wing is a COMPLETE replica of the OEM 997GT2 wing.  MAShaw includes a new wiring harness and the factory brake light fits just like stock.  There is NO modifications for the underside needed.  The fan bolts in place and the scoops connect to the stock airbox inlets.  We hope to have everything set for some nice pictures Monday morning.  Once we get our new induction kit released, stay tuned for our 800HP kit in progress

Our Project Porsche 997 Turbo is getting some new aero parts to improve downforce… ok really just to look badA$$.  We hooked up with MAShaw to get the only available replica 997 GT2 wing on the market.  We also got some new side skirts from our friends at Precision Porsche.  Next we need to pick out a front bumper.  Any suggestions?  Car is going to paint on Monday and we hope to get it back by Wednesday or Thursday.  Stay Tuned to our Vivid Racing Project 997TT car section for more updates.

One of the AZ locals brought their Porsche 996TT to Vivid Racing to have us paint and install a Precision Porsche GT2 rear wing and side intake splitters.

The rear wing is a complete replacement for the factory decklid and hydraulic rear wing. To eliminate the dash light, we supply the Porsche OEM wiring harness for the GT2 wing. The side intake duct splitters fit into the factory housings and then are secured in place with hardware. We also added the smoked 3rd brake light to the car as the red would have stuck out like a sore. This car will be rolling with us for the US Leg of Gumball 3000 so look out for it!
