Why Wheel Locks are Important. GTR Missing Something?

Publishsed by Dan on September 24th, 2009 | Posted in Random World | No Comments »

Wheel locks are definitely something important to have on your vehicle.  You never know when you go to a random resteraunt, ball game, or even park what might happen.  As you can see, this Nissan GTR was not so lucky and its wheels were taken right off.  Insurance will cover it, but at $4000+ expect those premiums to go up!  Vivid Racing carries a wide variety of wheel locks and lug nuts that use special keys.  This will help prevent this scenario from ever happening to you.  Its better to spend $100 for piece of mind then be stranded.  Can you invision getting this $80,000 car on to a tow truck!

New Performance Parts from Blitz and Alcon

Publishsed by Cole Kelly on September 23rd, 2009 | Posted in Product Info | No Comments »

New to the Vivid Racing catalog are some familiar manufactures such as  Blitz,  as well as a little less known company Alcon.

Alcon, however, is not new to the game, they have been providing brakes for IRL IndyCar Series, NASCAR, Daytona Prototypes, Australian V8 Super Car Series, Grand Am, WRC, Trophy Truck Series, Bentley, Brabus, Citreon Sport, Jaguar, Land Rover, Raybestos, Audi Sport, and more. With that type of following, you can be sure the Alcon Big Brake Super Kit for the Nissan R35 GT-R is top notch. Featuring the biggest available disc of 15.75″ up front and a 15.16″ rear all squeezed by a “mono-block” caliper that has been machined from solid billit aluminum. The brake kit will fit behind the stock 20″ wheels and utilize the OEM actuation system. If your GT-R is seeing any track time, the Alcon Super Kit could assist you with your times.

Blitz has just released an intake manifold surge tank for the Mitsubishi EVO X. This Blitz combo is perfect for stock cars looking for an upgrade as well as cars with heavy mods ready for a little extra power.

Who has the Baddest Collection of Nissan GTRs in the USA?

Publishsed by Dan on September 8th, 2009 | Posted in Client Cars | No Comments »

This guy does.  Check out this picture Vivid Racing caught of this guys new 2010 Nissan GTR and his R34 VSpec Skyline with his buddies pictured here.  We know that together there is 2000HP being represented in this driveway!  There is 9 years apart in technology but they are truly impressive pieces of machinery.  The GTR has always been the ultimate car to have and until 2008 when they landed on US Shores, it was nearly impossible to get one in the states.  At a time ago, there were only 20 R34’s in the USA.  As people found ways to bring them in the country, more were to be found.  With the popularity of Fast and the Furious, the Skyline GTR was the must have car.  Some were paying upwards of $140,000 to have one!  But we all know what happens when you try to mess with the Man…  Having built a 2009 Nissan GTR, we are aware of the power they are capable of from the factory and with light mods.  The new Nissan GTR is one car to continually contend with.  Check out more GTR Performance Parts Here.
