First off it should be noted that this product was the first modification made to my car (2006 BMW 325Xi E90 6speed man). Also, it is the first time I have done any more to a car than change the oil, breaks, and tires (simple stuff)... That being said the fact that it only took me 3hrs to install should say something. The instructions were decent, colour pictures would have helped, and they didn't answer some of the questions that I came across during installation. It should be noted as well that the components take some muscle to get into place- ie don't be afraid of breaking anything, screws need to be forced, and the intake tube needs to be clamped in place while attaching the heat shield/box.... With all of this being said, BUY THIS PRODUCT. I can not be more clear. It looks cool under the hood, it sounds magnificent at any revs, and the gains can easily be felt (especially over 3.5k where it almost feels like theres a mini-turbo!). I am even getting 3-4 more mpg (and I frequently drive in NJ traffic). From the second I turned on the engine and could hear the air being sucked into the free flow air tube I have been more than pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this to anyone with a BMW and please, install it yourself. The sense of pride you get after words is pretty neat (and if a guy as un-handy as me can do it so can you!).
