Product Information Akrapovic has crafted a high-performance exhaust system for the legendary Gullwing from a proprietary titanium alloy, making the exhaust system lighter and more durable, dimensionally stable, and heat resistant. The AMGs massive 6.3-liter V8 engine breathes through an Akrapovic exhaust system with a distinctive sound. The engineers did a great job of keeping the undesirable drone effect out of this very light exhaust system, which is another work of art from Akrapovic. Akrapovic offers an aftermarket cat-back system for the SLS AMG with a pair of stunning handcrafted carbon-fiber tail pipes with a special titanium alloy core. The Evolution exhaust system for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG also includes a wireless kit for exhaust valve control. With its valves closed the V8 sounds just a bit louder than in its stock configuration. The real difference comes when the valves are open, when this powerful machine roars like a typical V8 muscle car. With the simple press of a button the SLS AMG sounds like a racing machine. A gain of more power and torque is achieved with the Evolution systems link pipes with resonators and a rear muffler. The exhaust system adds still another plus: weight savings.
