By enlarging the outer fin area the intercooler becomes 22% lighter than factory stocks and cooling efficiency is increased by 15 to 20 percent. Blitz also reduces weight by using thinner core tube, the weight is reduced by 22 percent maximum. By increasing the flow cross section of inner tube, pressure loss is decreased by 15 to 20 percent. To increase durability, heat resistant blue silicone hoses are used for joint hoses. Blitz uses minimum bends to increase air flow and uses aluminum for further weight reduction.
