probably the best of both worlds when it comes to daily street driving and hardcore racing/drifting. they are built well and look exotic. the ride quality is outstanding when tuned right. the issues i had was that they can be a pain to adjust some of the setting because of were the adjustment screws are located, they were a b*tch to install by myself( always ask a buddy to help out and use a body lift), they didnt come with the body mounts shown in the picture and the instructions suck. side notes these fine pieces of work are not intended for slamming your ride if that is what you are trying to do but will work badass when adjusted properly for racing and street driving. I recently purchased this set of KW Variant 3 coilovers from the guys here at vivid. After researching TONS of options for my popular application of my turbocharged AP1 s2000, the variants really stood out as a value-priced high quality coilover kit. With external res. on both front and rear damper housings there is plenty of fluid volume to keep temperature under control and your independently controlled compression and rebound adjustments reacting as they should. Installation was easily completed in my driveway, and while a spring compressor would make it easier, with some crafty techniques I was able to do without one. Tuning the dampers were relatively easy, i read what the KW engineers recommended and tuned them to two clicks firmer on all settings. Height adjustments are also easily accomplished by a single collar spring retainer that uses a set screw to make sure your settings remain in place. The damper bodies on the front even feature a bracket to secure the oem brake lines or.. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
