Agency Power Dual Flow Carbon 996TT Intake Install

So you just received your new Agency Power Dual Flow Carbon Fiber Intake for the 996TT and its time to install it.  These instructions are provided to help you get your intake installed quick and accurately.  If you have any questions or need assistance, contact our Service Department.  We also recommend reading and discussing this install for more help on the 6speedonline Forums Thread Here.

Tools Required - Philips Head Screwdriver, 10mm socket with extension

Step 1 - You must remove the stock box out of the car.  You will first undo the clamp that holds the intake to the ridge rubber part by the MAF, then undo the bolt to the frame.  Once both of these are loose, you will need to rotate the stock box out of the car counter clockwise.

Step 2 - Now that the intake is out of the car, you need to pull apart the 2 halves of the intake.  Undo the philips head bolts with a screwdriver.

Step 3 - On either side of the OEM plastic part of the box, you need to DREMEL or shave down the lip edges as seen in the picture below so the front and back half sit flush.  Next you will put your filter into the front part of the new carbon fiber piece and then reattach to the back half of the OEM box.  To make it look better, flip the bolts around so the philips head is facing the back of the car and use the provided nuts.

Step 4 - Now reinstall the box in the reverse of Steps 1.

Step 5 - Now you need to mount the 2nd snorkel.  This piece uses the factory bolt positions of the underside fan shroud.  You need to first cut a rectangle hole in the factory plastic shroud to let air flow into the snorkel.  This can be as big as you want as long as it is covered by the snorkel.  Loosen the bolts that hold the factory shroud in place so you do not damage the decklid.  Draw out a rectangle about 1.5 inches tall by 6 inches wide.  You can then cut and remove this piece of plastic.  We recommend using a dremel to do a clean cut.

Step 6 - Now that everything is bolted in, test to make sure the decklid closes ok.  You should be done.  Step back and enjoy the view and power!
