In response to this progression and the more stringent legislation limiting acoustic emissions, Pirelli has designed the PZero Rosso, a quiet and comfortable ultra-high performance tire with no compromises. The name combines the now-legendary "PZero," which served as a watershed moment in Pirelli ultra-high performance tire development, and "Rosso," or red, which is associated with Italian motorsport.
More than 200 original equipment certifications from the world's most famous automakers Asymmetric tread pattern with large longitudinal channels. The tread pattern is separated into three unique parts on the side, each of which is meant to bestow a specific performance feature. These features are all present, from sturdy outer shoulder blocks to a semi-slick middle rib featuring curved transverse grooves towards a more open inner shoulder. Direzionale: Elegant arrow-shaped directional tread having broad longitudinal grooves for excellent wet and dry traction.
The color red has always been associated with passion among Italians. While red sports cars are undoubtedly the most well-known expression of driving enthusiasm, Pirelli's P Zero Rosso (Rosso, ro' so, Italian for red) is another option. Max Performance P Zero Rosso Summer tires were designed to provide a high level of speed, performance, and comfort.
Pirelli's most comfortable Max Performance tires integrate specific design methodologies, raw materials, and production technologies. The P Zero Rosso, like all summer tires, is not designed to be driven in near-freezing conditions, through snow, or on ice since Pirelli's warranty does not include compound cracking caused by use in ambient temperatures under 45?? Fahrenheit (7?? Celsius).
The P Zero Rosso system features asymmetric and directed tread designs, each calibrated to meet the specific performance requirements of various vehicles and applications. Because it is built for both front and rear axle placements of rear-wheel drive and front-engine front-wheel-drive cars, the P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico is the most extensively utilized (and on all cars driven on the track). The P Zero Rosso Direzionale is developed to provide improved hydroplaning resistance and is intended for use on mid-engine and rear-engine rear-wheel-drive cars with reduced load capacity front axle placements (which are then associated with the P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico tires on the rear axle spot).
Both tread patterns of the P Zero Rosso are exquisite. The Asimmetrico tread pattern keeps the "Zero concepts" of previous P Zero tires by incorporating a semi-slick center rib that improves driving accuracy while speeding up and braking with rigorous outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks linked by circumferential "multi-ring" ribs for improved dry grip. Wide grooves divide the independent blocks of the inside intermediate rib and inside shoulder to help evacuate water, reducing hydroplaning and improving wet grip. Curved grooves, in addition to circumferential grooves, have been used extensively to minimize noise.
P Zero Rosso tires have a silica-enhanced tread compound that provides higher traction in wet conditions and decreased rolling resistance in dry conditions. PenTec cable (a material created by Allied Signal for space exploration) is used to strengthen lightweight steel belts and provide increased excellent durability while lowering tire weight and preventing transient flat-spotting while parked overnight. While most Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires have a red "P Zero" emblem, some sizes only emboss the "Rosso" mark into the black sidewall, including the black letters.
