South Side Performance Pro Clutch Pack Mitsubishi EVO X SST 08+

SSP is offering its Pro Series Clutch Disc which has 30-40% more gripping force over the stock clutch discs, due to an increased surface area. The disc itself is a complex compound of cotton, carbon fiber, synthetic organic fibers, and other materials. These new materials add to the strength of the discs while still retaining the properties that allow it to hold up in the submerged oil environment of the TC-SST’s valve body. This particular compound has been tested to hold 420-475 crank horse power and 410 foot pounds of torque at 200F. At these power levels the transmission’s fluid temperature will determine the amount of clamping force the clutch discs are able to exert.

To maintain this power level, the SST’s transmission will need to entertain an additional cooling source. The SST’s factory transmission cooler is inadequate to handle the additional heat the engine and transmission will make at these power levels.
