Hi all,
I just had to write a review of this kit as I installed it in the late winter of 2010 and finished it in 2011.
Its an amazing kit and I did a lot of research on it prior to purcahse. It has always been a reliable offering, but you can also see how there has been continued development throughout its life as there have been changes such as contained self oiling in the supercharger itslef from Vortech and the addition of air intake temperature sensors that allow for the best performance possible.
Also in my research, it was evident that VF-E listens to their customers as they have included the best pulley size for our cars based on in-house testing and customer street use (and at times abuse!).
At first I was a little shocked at all the parts and pieces, but the documentation was great and their customer service is fantastic. With time and paitence I was able to complete 100% of the installtion myself in the garage at my home.
Vivid was great as well and I also decided to purchase a complete exhaust system to get the best overall performance and sound.
Let's just say the first time I started the car was an epic experience. The supercharger has that *whine* we all love, but its not too extreme to be annoying. Of course, the Agency Power headers, mufflers, and SpeedTech 200 cell cats made it sound vicious!
I highly recommend this kit. I think the HP gains stated here are being modest as I've heard and seen people getting much higher on the dyno with the newest version that you'll receive.
Forced induction is the best way to wake up these engines. Don't get fooled by people assuming this will do huge damage either, as I talked to someone that had it on their car for over 30,000 miles with no issues! Plus I believe VF-E has over 500 Porsches on the road with this kit... I'm proud to say that I'm one of them.
My two cents, is two bug thumbs up on this kit!
