my associate discount doesn't kick in till the end of september, but basically I will get 50% any wiring. including capacitors and such.

we get a great deal on infinity speakers. I will def. be hitting that up. like 75% off.

for the wiring though just go through IkeSound. their prices are still cheaper than what I can get with my discount. check this kit out: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1468
and they are blue wires

Manny, that is actually in Aberdeen. Its the city I work in and only like 5 minutes from my house. I have been a few times to the normal autocross that SCCA has done there but never run. I'll definately go but I'm not sure about running the course. I'll have to sleep on that one. But YES I'm most definately going. B- thats cool. I kinda figured it might be a little soon to be mooching on your discount. I can't get a simple kit for the install unfortunately but good looking out on the blue wires! I gotta get the wire by the foot and so on. 1/0 guage down to 4 guage to the amps. Allready ordered my two new amps, components and speakers for the rear. Word to the wise. We have like absolutely no mounting depth in our doors. I'm going with Kenwood excelon components up front and coaxials in the rear doors. But I'm taking your advice and putting two tweeters in the rear pillars. Amps are all new rockfords. I'll keep one of my twelves for the new inclosure. Anybody looking for a really nice twelve, amp, and crossover let me know. I'll let them go for next to nothing just to get them out of the house.

yeah man I not sure if I want to get up at the butt crack of dawn just to find out they won't let me run. I just may try you should too I think it would be awesome to run the course after all it's only cones that you could hit. Nonetheless I heard they are suppose to have a dyno up there not too sure about it though because I saw no mention of it. Do you work the friday before that saturday goose? let me know because I will do a ride along on that friday.

Now as far as the sub is concerned I don't think I need any of that stuff yet. I would like to get my other stuff installed first. before I go jumping on any new projects.

I'm probably going to the Subaru Challenge. If you need a helmet (if you're racing) I know a good place that rents them. Sometimes you can do fun run's at the end even if you aren't signed up

I would say go for it man . . . putting an amp and sub isn't exactly a project. take maybe 2 hours at the most.
just have to get a box and an amp install kit.

oh and goose . . . did you check out http://www.iaperformance.com
for speaker mounting rings? they sell adapters so you can mount speakers with bigger baskets into the doors. def. would make the install easier. plus they have the mounting brackets for the tweeters in the front door so you can use the stock location

Hey guys. well I'm not even going to get into why I haven't posted at all. Mainly because the phone lines in my house were fried as well, plus the fact that I have no money. so hopefully in a couple more weeks I'll have my job with Baltimore County, and I'll have some money coming in. other then that I'll just have to post whenever my dsl works.

As for the speakers, I've talked to some guys at tweeters and they have about 2 or 3 sets of component speakers that you shouldn't have any problem with mounting. A set of alpine components was the cheapest at like $200 I think. the rest just go up from there. I've been told that the mounting depth for our front speakers is around 1 7/8".

Allright Manny. If they have room to get us in, I'll run. When you ask about working that night, do you mean the evening of the 18th? or midnight shift of the 18th which would take us right into the event? Either way let me know, I'm sure I can accomodate you in some way. B- So thats where you got your handy dandy cover for your antenae! Good site. Just got my components in today. They listed for $270 with crutchfield I got them for $150. The tweeter mounts they sell look awfully similiar to ones that actually come with the Kenwood tweeters. I might just order them and the mounting rings just to make things that much smoother. And what do you want to do about next wednesday?

And yet another personal favorite.
B- whats up with wednesday?
Manny- I'm still trying to work out some logistics for the ride along. I'm actually off on that Friday so I'm trying to switch a day with somebody so I can get you in. I'll keep you posted.
