When you pick up your new Camaro from the dealer, it has been designed for the street and daily driving purposes. Chevrolet has developed a great car for that purpose, but many owners have a different need in mind, track performance. APR has created a wind splitter for the 2010 Camaro that is perfect for the track without hurting the drive ability of the car on the street. APR Performance parts are created with the finest materials and developed with tedious research to ensure the final product is perfect.

A Wind Splitter is a protruding flat surface in the front of a car that is designed to decrease front end lift and exert downforce. By creating a high pressure area on top of the wind splitter, high pressure air flow is restricted to flow underneath a car. With low pressure below the car, the effect of lift is reduced and a driver can gain from the extra traction and control. The included rods ensure this splitter stays rigid and perform its job at all speeds.

You can check out the entire APR Performance line here.

UK Based Quicksilver has released another amazing product for the new Audi R8 with the V10 engine. A supercar sound might be why R8 owners choose Quicksilver for their exhaust system, but they will also be very happy about the performance too. The exhaust saves over 40lbs off the rear end of the vehicle while adding horsepower and torque to the V10 monster.

The Quicksilver system has a titanium silencer and thin gauge stainless steel tubing to achieve a combination of the lightest possible weight with strength and durability. At lower engine speeds it produces a wonderful deep tone, with volume and pitch increasing in direct proportion to rpm climaxing in a robust race car howl at redline.

This exhaust is available from Vivid Racing and our Quicksilver Store. It retails for $2900 plus freight. Contact us if interested in getting the BEST for your Audi R8.

Brembo is debuting these new GT-R racing brake kits at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Oh, that starts next week Muhahahahah. These high-end GT-Rracing brake applications available for cars like Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, and others looking for the ULTIMATE in braking. These are never before seen pictures outside of Italy. The nickle plating is inspired by what F1 race teams use and the calipers are 10% lighter then the current Monobloc calipers on the market. They are much stiffer, provide better modulation, and improved response over the older design. Having personally owned a set of 6piston Monoblocks on my Porsche 996TT (http://www.vividracing.com/forums/project-996tt), that is a good chunk of weight! These calipers feature vented piston inserts and are more thermo-mechanical resistance.

Brembo GT-R brakes used to be race calipers only that came from ALMS, Grand AM, World Rally, BTTC, JGTC,etc and made into full custom racing systems only. These required the same care and maintenance that a pro level team would use shunning most enthusiasts from equipping their cars with the GT-R kits. Even very experienced track day and amateur level racers were not equipped to monitor caliper temps and operating temps to provide the proper care and keep these systems properly tuned. The NEW line of GT-R calipers were designed to provide every level of performance as these top level race calipers, but with superior plating for aesthetic longevity and corrosion resistance's, and incorporate a twin seal design that eliminates the need for the additional maintenance of rebuilding. A simple set of caliper temp stickers, (also available through Vivid Racing) is all you need to ensure you are running within optimal operating temperatures during the most aggressive track outings. Thus Brembo has released a GT-R kit that is street friendly and ready for the serious racer.

Brembo will be delivering these to the USA starting January 1 and preorders are available with deposits. You can view all our current Brembo Brake Applications Here (http://www.vividracing.com/brembo).

Softronic OBDII ECU Flashing for 09+ DFI Porsche 987, 997, and Cayenne

Softronic has made another first in Porsche ECU Tuning and now has the ability to flash the DFI Porsche 997.2 cars from 2009+. We utilize our Flasher Client interface which allows the customer to connect to their car with a OBDII cable and write the new Tuned File. No removing of your ECU from the car or downtime. No warranty issues as your true original file is included and can be flashed back ANYTIME.

Contact Us for More Info

After customer Mark G flashed his car in NY he emailed this, “I will say this so far… The power/pull is much more consistent from start to redline. Throttle is perfectedly sensitive and responsive.”

The 2009 and up Porsche Carrera is a big change over previous models. The new 911 has switched from a Bosch ECU to now running a Siemens SDI system. The transmission can be had in a standard 6 speed manual or the new PDK transmission to complete with the GTR, M3, and others. Softronic has spent time engineering and developing software for the new FSI cars and is one of the only tuners in the world that can offer an ECU flash via the OBDII port. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, Softronic is able to gain performance on both the 3.6L and the 3.8L 911.

3.6L Stock Power – 345HP and 280ft/lbs

Tuned Power –360HP and 295ft/lbs

3.8L Stock Power – 385HP and 310ft/lbs

Tuned Power –398HP and 322ft/lbs

Softronic flashes the 997.2 Carrera through the OBDII port of the car. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! For those running a high flow cat or straight pipe exhaust systems, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. Once the car is flashed, the low end torque and throttle response will be much improved. The mid-range of the RPM band will feel stronger as well. The overall improvement of drivability makes the 997.2 Carrera even more fun then it was originally. Since warranty is always a concern, Softronic also provides you with your original file. With this original file you can flash your car back to stock at any point. If you go to the dealer, there will be nothing visible through the Porsche PIWIS system. Softronic can program your vehicle no matter what country you are from or what octane you use. We have different maps for those running 91 octane or 93 octane and higher.

What are the benefits/functions of going with Softronic compared to the competition?

- Softronic does not require the removal of your ECU from the car. There is no down time at all.

- Your car can be flashed at your convenience from the comfort of your own garage.

- Softronic reflashing is done via a Client Cable that is connected to the OBDII port. The customer simply plugs the cable into the car and reads the file with a laptop per the instructions with the cable. Once the file is downloaded, it is emailed to the Softronic secure server where the file is tuned and then emailed back to the client. The client simply uploads the file and they are done. Total process is about 1 hour.

- Reflashing is done according to the vehicles octane level of pump gas and modifications are taken into account (Intake, Headers, Exhaust) to enhance power gains.

- All ECU Flashes include the Client Flash Cable. You can opt to upgrade to the Durametric Cable which allows you to flash the car, datalog, turn off warning lights, and more.

When looking for the blend of comfort and performance, KW Suspension is Vivid Racing's choice for most make and models. Among their best coilovers are the KW Variant 3's that allow the driver to create a customized suspension feel and adjust the ride height. The ease of change also allows for a street setting to be used for daily driving and then an adjustment can provide your car the stiff performance needed on the track.

New to the KW Suspension catalog is the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Variant 3 coilover. With the Camaro being a retro styled car and encompassing new technology throughout, KW Suspension set out to improve the ride and handling of this hot selling muscle car. With the same state-of-the-art technology found in the V3 coilovers for every other make and model, KW was able to fine tune the Camaro's handling and lower the car to improve the style.

Also added to the list of cars is the Nissan 370Z. V3 coilovers could make the otherwise stock 370Z to be ready for the track because of the separate and independent compression and rebound damping options.

You can see all of the KW Suspension line here (http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/kw-m-236.html).

Streetability, high performance, racing inspired, and proven testing are all words to describe the VR825 power package for the 2007 to 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo. With a true bolt-on Garrett turbo kit for the 996 Turbo in our history, we wanted to take the same development, but enhance it 100% for the 997 Turbo. Realization of what the stock 997 Turbo motor was capable of, set us on the path to create this power kit. Beginning R&D in December 2008, we thrived to develop a bolt-on turbo kit that was capable of 1000 horsepower with engine modifications. For those 997 Turbo owners that do not want to touch the internals of the engine and keep the driveability as well as functionality of their car on a day to day basis is where we end at the VR825 Power Kit. This kit was designed around the daily driver and built to give your 997 Turbo the driveability of a stock car while around town or headed to dinner. However once you get into boost, the car is an insane piece of equipment designed to test your foots threshold.
