The Intro - Project 240 Race Car

With this industry growing at the rapid rate it does, having everyone and their mother wanting to have a shop, there is one thing that seperates the real ones from the posers. We welcome Project 240SX. This is not our first time racing. Oh no we have dominated the track in WRX's, EVO's, M3's, and now we will dominate the track and drift scene in a full blown Nissan 240SX race car. This is no street driving car show queen either. This is raw power, stiff as hell, JDM machine. Why are we building a real race car? Simple, we are tired of dominating with our daily drivers. Now we can rub paint, scrape bumpers, blow smoke, and make loud noises as we race and promote our driving abilities. And why did we choose to build a 240SX? Not because of the Silvia's recent popularity, but for the basics of racing. The 240SX 89-94 chassis is the perfect platform. Inexpensive, lightweight, balanced, and RWD. We purchased our 240SX from the downtown ghetto car lot. Stripped it, acid dipped it, and now we are ready to rock with it.

What is planned for this car? 1800lbs or less with 300+ wheel horsepower. Wide body, full JIC suspension, huge front and rear brakes, and a roll cage that NASA is looking into. Nothing is free here boys and girls. Real car, real drivers, real budget. Our first stages consist of getting the car painted, assembling the suspension and brakes, and working on the fuel system. The car had carbon fiber doors. With the complete cage, we added 2 bars on each side

i ment on the frame itself, one of the weakest parts of a vehicle is around the doors; and an even bigger problem it creates the most flex throughout the frame. some shops weld gussets to the floor boards or replica door frames to make it stronger. but im sure with the rigidity of the roll cage this would counter this type of flexing

Yes the roll cage was done from each pillar stiffening it up quite a bit. That car did not bend a bit!

Thanks man! A local guy hooked that up. Front window was a freshy and then the rear I had cut from lexan and attached to the Seibon carbon fiber hatch.
