Mission 6 - EVOMS Shift Linkage Installed

To improve upon the sloppy shifting of the factory 996 transmission, we upgraded to the B&M short shifter. The improvement was definitely noticeable but there was still some play in the shifter from going between the gears hard. What we did is change the factory shift linkage from the standard rubber/plastic unit you see on the right to the improved CNC machined and urethane adjustable unit on the left. This EVOMS shift linkage improves upon the shifting from gears up and down, as the side to side motion is not prone to damage.

The EVOMS shift linkage is a very easy install to do with the change of your shifter or by itself. The adjustable part can be set very simple by getting the correct tension on the cable you need. After driving, you can alter this adjustment depending on the feel of the shifter to your liking.
