Project 996TT is all Freshened up for TX2K8
Project 996TT is all Freshened up for TX2K8

Vivid Racing has been putting some serious time into Project 996TT for the upcoming TX2K8 March 20-23, 2008 in Houston, Texas. TX2K8 is a gathering of some of the fastest Porsches, Supra's, Corvette's, Viper's, and more. Competing in a Road Race, 60-130mph challenge, 1/4 mile drag race, and dyno competition. Vivid Racing is going out with 2 Porsches for the event. 1 is obviously our Project 996TT and the other is the 650 kit we built on a 996TT Tiptronic car seen here - Porsche 996TT with AP 650 Turbo Kit

In order to prepare our car, from our previous project car entry we finished our 700hp package. With the car tuned and dialed, we wanted to make it shine again. With war wounds from the Bullrun Rally, we had the front bumper fixed and painted, repainted the side skirts, and then painted the rear bumper bottom black trim to match. We also took the side intake duct splitters and molded them in to look 997TT ish. To finish it off we had the Volk TE37 wheels striped yellow to match.

With the success of our cold air intake kit from Agency Power, we have been in the process of building a carbon fiber version which we have received the first prototype. Similar to the aluminum box we sell, this version is alittle more dress up for those that need it! It will eventually (I mean definitely) turn into a dual air inlet box similar to how the 997TT gets air flow.

Stay tuned to more and look for us in Texas. Pics and video to come!

Those carbon boxes turned out sick. The pictures don't do them justice.

looks like the best kind of dope

the carbon boxes turned out pure dope & the yellow beast is looking unbeatable too, being the center of the universe it's too bad the CF boxes make my aluminum box look just a bit shoddy. Glad they look hot, when it turns into a CF dual inlet box it will be yet another part to get strung out about not having. If my car wasn't in 700,000 pieces I might have joined y'all for the Texas event--but being in pieces & all I don't think I'd be beating much of anybody. Good luck out there.

is there a specific problem with a mildly moist carbon fiber? you know close to arid & humor free--throughly knowing it's place in the aristocracy of germanic after-market devices.
