There comes a time when your simple stock gauge cluster and dash is turned into the Star Ship Enterprise. Why you ask? Cause if you don't know what is going on with your cars vital signs, then your simply asking for the old, KABOOOOOMMMMM!!! We took the time to keep our EVO running cool with a PWR radiator, then boosted up our turbo with a HKS EVC V and can monitor it all from our Blitz AC gauges.
After the finalization and indepth installation of the Boost Control, Gauges, Ground Kit, and Radiator, we were finally ready to fire it up. With the excellent placement of the EVC V near the main dash cluster, and the 3 gauges (Boost, EGT, and Fuel Pressure) mounted in the center of the dash, we were ready to dyno this bad boy.
Once again our friends at Dyno Comp were more then happy to get this bad boy on the dyno. Once we rolled on for the 3rd time we were excited to get it ready and start making some numbers. With the stock boost level set at 18.4 psi, we know we could turn it up safely a pound or two. With the car ready to rock we started the dyno. Turbo spooling and decibels increasing, the graph jumped to 270 wheel horsepower on our Dyno Dynamics dyno. That is a increase of 40 whp with just adding a boost control, ground kit, radiator, and catback. How excited were we? Very as the car is just getting started. With more serious mods to add soon, while keeping the stock turbo, we believe this is a easy 300+ wheel horsepower car.
