When thinking of the next step in what to do to the Vivid Project EVO VIII, it was a long and hard meeting. Logarithyms, analysis, and readings from great prophets all were in involved. But after the first 3 beers we knew it had to be only one thing. We go wide! Since we love the CyberEvo race car from Japan, why not get the Garage HRS wide body fenders like they have. 30mm wider then stock, these fiberglass fenders will give the car a more aggressive look. How was the process to get them on there, well not bad but read this!

We first received the fenders from our Japanese supplier and were stoked to see how good the quality was. After 3 trips to the paint shop because of minor issues, we finally got them back and were ready to fit them. Taking off the stock fenders you need patience. There are about 5 hidden bolts that if you do not take off, then something will break.

First thing is first, make sure you have the proper tools. You will need 10mm and 12mm socket and open end wrenches. Pull the front wheels off for easier access. And dont forget about having a flat head screwdriver to pop those annoying clips out. Take off your headlight and then begin undoing your fender liner. Once it is off you can then start undoing the bolts that hold the fenders on.

There are the 3 on the fender rail under the hood. One is hidden by the door frame, and then 2 are down by the side skirt. Take the 2 off by the headlight, and when you think you are done, dont forge to take the one off behind the mirror garnish. Also you need to remove the snaps that the headlight and bumper screw into on the stock fender and place them on the new one.

Some modification with the old dremel may be necessary for slight adjustment. Other then that everything will bolt right up. Don't forget to space the bottom sideskirt bolts out so the door does not hit the fender. The fiberglass will fit perfect and when you are all done, you will have some ultra wide and cool fenders to give you the aggressive stance you have always wanted.
