GT-R Under Construction - Power, Brakes, Styling

Vivid Racing's custom Project GT-R is under construction in full force. We launched our concept look of the flat red and black GT-R over a month ago to great reviews. Now like all our concept drawings, it is time to turn paper into reality.

To flow with the theme, we wanted to upgrade the brake system. However when Nissan gives you a 15" 2 piece rotor 6 piston brake kit, there is nothing to do! Even the brake lines are all hard line to the junction. So we flared them up by painting the calipers flat red and adding the Vivid Racing logo for some personalization. Just wait, it will be good.

Next we are in the middle of building our cold air intakes and upgraded intercooler piping for the GTR. The top and bottom intercooler piping will be 3 inch aluminum and work with our Agency Power blow off valves. The intakes will retain the stock MAF and use a K&N style filter with a front inlet positioned in front of the stock intake scoops.

Our last current project is the interior being upgraded. Again, this interior is very very nice and putting in some racing seats would be extremely LAME. The adjustable reclineable racing seats that Nissan includes even has adjustable bolstering. What we have done based on the drawing below is stripped down the interior. The car will get a full make over with red suede inserts, Vivid Racing and GT-R logos, and red stitching.

Next it is off to the body shop for a custom body kit and paint job.
