Stage 9 - Pioneer DVD - ICE ICE Baby.

ICE is the new word. In Car Entertainment. If you don't have it, you won't win shows, you won't gain respect, and you will never be a man. Just kidding, but hey why not have something in your car to watch DVD's, and gain some extra attention. If this unit looks familiar, we took it out of the Blue Vivid WRX and are about to re-transplant it.

The nice thing about this Pioneer DVD unit is it is already wired for a WRX. All we had to do is run the wires, connect some power, and bolt that sucker in. Think it was that easy? No. I never recommend installing your own stereo stuff unless you are a wizard.

A good stereo shop will charge you about $150 for the installation and it is well worth it. Running the wires is not hard, but if the connections are good, and you might not have stuff hooked up right, then problems occur. After about 4 hours of problems we figured them out!

In the end, the Pioneer unit is very nice in the car. The display has a good view but I would prefer a touch screen like our EVO has. The control is sometimes a hassle and we prefer to have it a bit easier. Looks nice!
