Stage 17 - Suspension Upgrade - Sways and Arm Bar.
Stage 17 - Suspension Upgrade - Sways and Arm Bar.

Handling of our Project WRX has been significantly enhanced by the Tein coilovers and front/rear strut bars. But an important part of improving cornering is done by sway bars and adding rigidity to the under chassis. We started off by adding a JIC lower arm brace to the car. This arm brace connects the lower under chassis together in 4 spots.

Next we want to improve our understeer and oversteer as well as improve rigidity with sway bars. Like always, Vivid Racing has chosen the best out there, Perrin Performance. The Perrin sway bars have a huge advantage over the stock or other aftermarket brands. The rear sway bar is adj 22mm-24mm and includes the sway bar mounts, which the stock ones flex and break under heavy load. The front is an adjustable 22mm bar which is not offered by anyone else. These sway bars are a direct replacement and improve handling instantly.

To better reduce flex, we have upgraded the rear sway bar links to the Perrin ones as well. These U shaped links connect the sway bar and the chassis. Under hard turning the stock urethane ones flex. The CNC machined Perrin links include spherical bearings for best performance and long life.

All these parts fit our 2004 WRX with no issues and added great improvement. They also are designed to fit your 2002-2004 WRX and STI. We highly recommend the Perrin Product for price, performance, and quality.
