You know, being the (somewhat) law enforcement official that I am I sure would enjoy driving a Rex at work and at home. That would be the cat's ass. And to answer the turn-on question, yes, my pants are tight.

WRXBen, I'm not sure what kind of law enforcement you are involved with, but if you have a WRX it seems to me like they'd let you put a light bar on it and let you use your WRX as your cop car. I'm not sure, but I don't see why they wouldn't let you. It's a hell of a lot faster than most of the cop cars out there even with the extra hp they give them. [br]I was also looking at the link to the NASIOC site and Dan said that the lights are legal as long as they're not on... is that really true? That's be awsome just to have, you could scare people even if they weren't on. Does anyone know if that's really legal?

As far as I know, that car was built by a guy that builds cop cars for a living. It's not a "real" cop car, more of a promotional thing. I bought a couple stock parts off him, he's a cool guy. He had a bunch of stuff in his garage that was donated by companies to be part of the project. Stuff from TurboXS, Kartboy etc. Freebies rock!

That would be sooooo nice compared to those damm police interceptors, crown vics, that I have to some times drive on a shift. I would love to be in involved in a pusrsuit in one of those ( a pusuit with a good ending mind you)

are the cop car WRXs auto or manual?

i would imagine automatic.. i never seen a manual cop car.. and as far as having lights on ur car it is ILLEGAL.. trust me i have lights on my car... u CANNOT have lights on ur car unless u are certifyed fireman or emt.. and u MUST have a PERMIT for lights.. i have a red light and siren permit for my car.. my dad is the firecheif.. strick laws.. hes gotten pulled over already for havin a red light in his window.. haha but once the cops see the permit they leave u alone..

They would have to be manuals because when wrx's first came out they were manual only. If they have 04 wrx cop cars then they might be auto's but all wrx cop cars before that were manual.[p]As a cop you have to be able to drive both auto and manual. You have to hold a manual licence as a cop also.
