Yeah Acura is luxury division of Honda, not even owned by them, same company just a nice honda. Same with Infiniti to Nissan and same with Lexus to Toyota, they're the same company just the luxury brand. So if the guy bought the NSX in Japan or just wanted it to be loyal to its roots, then it would have the Honda badge on it.

NSXs are awesome cars, just insanely over-priced. Acura (honda) needs to chill out a little bit with that 80, 90k car. Not sure its worth it for only 290 hp.[p]Speeking of hp, give some specs on that bad boy. whats its 1/4?

This particular one runs somewhere in the high 12's. Maybe 12.7-12.8. Traction is a huge problem, let's put it that way. Stock with a good driver they typically run about 13.4 or so.

GEEZ, how much did it cost him to have all of that done? Also, how much does the car weigh?

Not sure if I like the new style lights yet, we'll see if I end up buying them anyway...

I can find out Chico, what do you want? I like the headlights way better. I hate pop up headlights. All the carbon pieces, and I mean all of them weigh in at something like 50 pounds. Like I said, I handled one of the quarterpanels on the white car and I could have probably thrown it across the shop it was so light. As far as total weight I have no idea. NSX's weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 2700 lbs or so. So drop maybe 100 pounds off for the carbon pieces, then some more for the other mods on the car. I'd guess and say 2400.

There he is, the mastermind of top end Hondas.
[br]I was told the kit to buy is somewhere in the neighborhood of $12,000. So if anyone wants a carbon widebody WRX a la Cusco, that's the kind of coin you will be looking at. Phew! And I though $1200 for my hood was a lot. ![]()

Not bad considering the fiberglass/carbon kit for the 1997 legacy is 8k...and you wonder why I haven't gotten into looks...

I love that white one even more, minus the headlights. I like the hoods both of you have, but my favorite NSX hood is the one with the two decent sized holes in it, anyone know what i'm talking about? anyway, the carbon fiber is outrageously expensive, but it does drop a lot of weight. Where do you guys get the funds for these kinds of cars?

I see alot of Takata JGTC NSX influence in that kit. It'd be sick if someone made kit for the WRX after the Cusco JGTC WRX. But $12,000 damn... I think I'd learn how to work with composites before I paid that much for a bodykit
