So I'm driving my mother to tennis this morning, half asleep. I pull into the parking lot and what do I see? A Gemballa 955 Cayenne GT 600. For those of you who don't know about Gemballa, they pretty much make the fastest porsche's available. They are VERY expensive, but look and drive top notch. The one I saw was black with gray interior, however other than that it was identical to the one on this site:[p]http://www.supercarsite.net/gt_600_aero_3.htm[p]Power 447.4 kW / 600.0 bhp at N/A rpm [br]Torque 880.0 Nm / 649.1 ft lbs at N/A rpm[br]Top Speed 300.0 kph / 186.4 mph [br]0 - 62 mph 4.5 seconds [br]Bhp / Liter 133.01 bhp [p]Just had to share. I stayed in the parking lot staring at it for almost 15 minutes. AMAZING. [p][p][Edit by wrexxy on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 @ 05:07 PM]

[p]Well, the Cayenne Turbo has 6 optional levels of adjustable ride height. It doesn't have the steep entry and exit angles of a landrover or the land-mine proof bottom shell of a hummer, but from the reviews I've read, it is actually quite a capable offroader. I wouldn't exactly go boulder climbing in it, but you could probably do everything you can do in a VW Touareg, seeing that they are similar platforms.

Yikes!... It looks like a giant VW GTi. I'm mixed on it. Power is awesome, [br]but looks like a jacked-up pseudo-wagon, and not quite an SUV.[p][p][Edit by parrothead1973 on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 @ 11:30 PM]

Well... I can't stand 99% of today's automotive designs, so don't take [br]my opinion too seriously. I do give Porch-ah props.[br][p][Edit by parrothead1973 on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 @ 11:31 PM]

[p]What are you guys nuts? Of course it's a good car to have, it's a friggen $150,000 porsche that you can power through snow with or go 0-62 mph in 4.5 secs. THAT'S sports-utility. [p]Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinion I guess.[br]

[p]well with what they have done to this one . . . pretty much ruins it's sport-utility prowess. those tires aren't gonna be doing much of anything in the snow. the suspension is changed obviously so I doubt it is still adjustable. even if it is, you aren't getting as much clearance as the standard cayenne.[p]of course how many people actually take an suv off road anyways . . .

last summer I was driving home and I pulled up next to a Gemballa 750 EVO. I thought yeah right no way its real. So at the next light I got up next to the guy and he said it was in fact a real gemballa. He said it took him over eight months to get it imported into the US and it had to be modified a bit in order to meet US emissions standards. He told me it was pushing over 700RWHP. He also boasted that there was nothing on the road that could touch him. He said that he had just raced his friends Lambo murcielago and he beat it "by a mile" racing stoplight to stoplight. Let me tell you that thing sounded AMAZING. We both left the light at the same pace but at around 40mph he slammed on the gas and he burned out for about 5 seconds and left me in his smoke cloud. It was unreal. oh and heres a pic of one from their website. The car I saw looked exactly the same only it was all black with black rims.[br][br][p][Edit by WRXPWR on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 @ 04:53 PM][br] [p][Edit by WRXPWR on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 @ 04:55 PM]
