rust spots already

so i got my car on saturday and it already has 3 rust spots on the roof. it also has about 8 chips in the paint. i knew that subaru paint was thin but this is outrageous. im going to take it back the the dealer and have them fix it since there is no way it couldve rusted since ive had it. i dont even have 400 miles on it yet and this is happening.

post some pics... are they very tiny??? it might be brake material on the paint that started to rust. if so use a clay bar or wax and itll clean right off.

the rust spots are pretty small but the chips are rather large. i only have pics of the rust spots but you cant tell there is any rust from the pics. they are on the roof so it cant be from the brakes. here are some pics of the rust spots, though you probably cant see the rust it is there.

well then i was wrong. good luck then ive seen people have a very hard time with getting paint warrenties. it got so bad to a friend with a 350z that had to write a letter to the attorney general to get anything resolved.

That's cool. Where'd you get your car? I'd figure mastro since it's the biggest dealer in the area. Kinda scary that an 05 is rusting, course things do rust pretty quick around here(from the humidity). Eh, check your car out and make sure they don't screw anything up while "fixing" the car. Once I braught my car to mastro........ended up with a dent in my quarter panel.

peace

well good luck getting the rust spots fixed as far as the chips on the roof where they are mine has a few also the way our car is shaped thats where all the rocks shoot up n hit, from my experiences neways.

When I was pickin my car up from mastro "subaru" with my friend, they offered him a 15% discount on a tune up as long as his car wasn't a subaru.......... I called them to get some work done, and they quoted me $20 more for an oem part then another subaru dealership in the area. I really don't like mastro, or any dealership I've been to. Eh, sorry to hijack your thread.

peace

haha thats alright dont worry about hijacking it. the salesman who my dad bought the car from at classic subaru in orlando told me that he would give me 25% off of any dealer approved and sold aftermarket products. he also said that he would give me stock tires and wheels for life. obviously there is a catch to all of this, but he was really desperate to make a sale. oh well, now the will have to fix their mistake and i lose my car for a few days.
