Removal
- Let the car cool down completely.
- Jack up car and put on jack stands.
Engine Bay:
- (Optional) Remove the stock airbox (if still using) for more room.
- Remove the front and rear o2 sensors.
- Unscrew the top 2 nuts (17mm) on the turbo outlet/catalytic converter inlet flanges.
- (Optional) If you cannot remove your downpipe easily, unbolt the top 2 bolt/nuts (12mm, long extension, and swivel) on the catalytic converter outlet/downpipe inlet flanges. If you have a friend, have them go underneath the car and hold the nut/bolt on the back side with a 12mm wrench.
Underneath the car:
- Unscrew the bottom nut (17mm, long extension, and swivel) on the turbo outlet/catalytic converter inlet flanges.
- Unbolt the downpipe from the exhaust system.
- (Optional) Unbolt the bottom bolt/nuts (12mm socket and wrench) on the catalytic converter outlet/downpipe inlet flanges. Use a wrench to hold one side while you unbolt the nut/bolt.
- Remove the catalytic converter while still attached to the downpipe (or remove the catalytic converter alone if downpipe cannot be removed easily). On slip-fit joints (OEM)
Installation
Engine Bay:
- Attach the test pipe to the downpipe off the car. Then install both units together (or install test pipe alone if downpipe is not removed).
- Tighten the top 2 nuts (17mm) on the turbo outlet/catalytic converter inlet flanges using the supplied stainless steel nut and stainless steel lock washer.
- (Optional) Bolt the top 2 bolt/nuts (13mm, long extension, and swivel) on the catalytic converter outlet/downpipe inlet flanges using the supplied stainless steel nuts, bolts, and stainless steel lock washer. If you have a friend, have them go underneath the car and hold the nut/bolt on the back side with a 13mm wrench.
- Reinstall the front and rear o2 sensors.
- Reinstall the stock airbox if removed.
Underneath the car:
- Tighten the bottom nut (17mm, long extension, and swivel) on the turbo outlet/catalytic converter inlet flanges using the supplied stainless steel nut. Due to the larger size (3â€) piping, it is difficult to get a deep socket on the nut. Use a medium socket or use a wrench from underneath the turbo to tighten.
- Tighten the downpipe to the exhaust system if removed.
- (Optional) Bolt the bottom bolt/nuts (13mm socket and wrench) on the catalytic converter outlet/downpipe inlet flanges using the supplied stainless steel nuts, bolts, and stainless steel lock washer. Use a wrench to hold one side while you tighten the nut/bolt.
- Put the car on the ground and enjoy!
