034 Motorsport has just released its new Street Density Motor Mounts for the B9/B9.5 Audi A4/A5 2.0 TFSI. These are a performance upgrade over the factory mounts, and are a suitable OE replacement for B9/B9.5 Audi S4/S5/SQ5 3.0 TFSI and B9/B9.5 Audi RS5 2.9 TFSI models. These mounts offer the same performance and deflection as the stock S/RS Audi motor mounts, but without the failure-prone liquid-filled design. The 034 Motorsport version is a heavier duty, longer-lasting option than other factory and OE replacement mounts on the market; in short, they will offer the same factory performance in a much more durable package. 

Street Density Motor Mounts are manufactured with 50 durometer rubber to limit unwanted noise and vibration transfer into the cabin. They are also void-free and fluid-free, eliminating the slop and excess movement associated with Audi’s factory mounts, resulting in improved shifting feel and driving dynamics while vastly improving long-term durability and longevity too. 034Motorsport’s Street Density Motor Mounts have become the new standard in comfort and performance. The Street Density Motor Mounts from 034 Motorsport are made from high-durometer rubber instead of polyurethane for several reasons. While vulcanized rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype because of the complexity of manufacturing and high initial tooling costs, they are inherently better than polyurethane as a damping medium for mounts and bushings. Rubber can also deal with stress better under both tension and compression, while polyurethane mounts rely on the damping medium to be effective only under compression. Unlike polyurethane, rubber proves excellent in shear, making it ideal for applications that apply a shear force to the bushing during articulation. Finally, rubber does not pack and wear like polyurethane does, which ultimately results in a long-lasting part with consistent performance and comfort.
