The Porsche 991 GT2RS is the best performing 911 ever, with the performance to take on the best supercars in the world. Recently, we had a chance to get our hands on one and develop our VR Tuned ECU flash, which bumped power from 690hp to around 800hp. With 800hp, the GT2RS is an absolute monster on the streets and the track.
With that kind of power, safety becomes a concern. In the event of a crash, a roll bar can save your save life. For some 991 models, Porsche offers a factory clubsport roll bar, however, due to US safety regulations, it’s very difficult to get the clubsport rollbar in the US. Luckily, Agency Power’s motorsports style rear harness roll bar is the perfect solution.
Rather than offer roll bar which wouldn’t work with the front motorsports roll cage section, Agency Power’s roll bar is a near replica of the OEM Porsche clubsport roll bar. It provides significant safety and rigidity benefits, but the focus of the Agency Power roll bar is to provide a place to mount your racing harnesses.
Just like the Porsche clubsport roll bar, the Agency Power roll bar mounts to the rear upper shocks tower mounts and the floor behind the front seats. These mounting points provide superb rigidity and allow the roll bar to be bolted in without welding.
The entire bar is made from 4130 chromoly tube and features CNC machined 1018 rolled steel inserts. The chromoly material is comprised of 2-inch .090 wall and 1.5 inch .090 wall diameter tube. All the CNC machined inserts work perfectly with the front motorsports roll cage, making it easy to transform into a full roll cage.
For this specific install, the Agency Power roll bar was paint matched to this GT2RS, giving it an awesome and unique look!
