A customer came to us looking to build one crazy 996 Carrera. Challenge Accepted. The 3.4L engine was first to be modified. Tore down to the block, we upgraded the opposing cylinder engine with an ARP stud kit, LN Engineering dual row IMS kit and replaced nearly everything else with new high performance parts. With the motor strong and ready for horsepower, we bolted on the VR 996CT turbo kit that pushes 5.5lbs of boost thanks to a 62mm turbo. The end result is a 470 horespower 996 Carrera that 9Magazine has dubbed a “Lethal Sleeper”.
