Here at Vivid Racing we have been working on putting some packages together for those of you out there with the Domestics. We have tested some different setups and have found some combination’s that we are really happy with.
This Corvette came to us locally from a customer that wanted to make some power, but still retain good easy drivability. This Corvette is a 2006 and has an automatic transmission. We added a B&B Header, and coupled that to a Borla Cat back. The sound is what I would consider almost perfect. Not too overbearing, but still lets people know that you have a V8 under the hood.
Finally to finish up the package we added a comp cam and valve springs to make this thing really rip!!! we have used a couple different cams now in the LS2 and really like this cam! It has a little lope, but great power and no reversion. The cams specs are as follows:
Duration @ .006 Tappet Lift Ex- 277 In- 275
Duration @ .050 Ex- 224 In-222
So overall not to aggressive, but will definitely make a good addition if you want some extra power.
Lastly to finish up the whole package we added HP Tuners into the mix. This software works amazing and made sure that we were not only running strong, but very safe. We are an HP Tuner so if you are local and would like to make more power, let us know and we can get you going!
