SRT Viper Lowered Springs Installed for Handling Improvement

There are several different ways to lower your vehicle to get the perfect handling, ride height, and fitment.  You could go with coilovers, lowering springs, air suspension to achieve these results.  Typically on our Project Cars, we like to run coilovers.  For example on most of our Porsche projects, we have used KW Coilovers.  On some cars like our Ferrari 360, we upgraded to full racing Moton Suspension.  But some of our cars we like to keep the suspension the factory designed and just use lowering springs.  Many cars nowadays are equipped with multi function suspension to adjust between soft or stuff.  Some of these shock absorbers are even full time adaptating to the driving conditions.  So with our Project SRT Viper, we decided to use a set of Eibach Springs with the stock shocks.

We have used Eibach springs in the past on many customer cars because they lower the car just the right amount without going overboard making the car to low, or just not lowering it enough.  The ride quality of the Eibach is a tad stiffer from my experience than H&R for the street, but when you are putting them on a car like the Viper, you need it to hold its own in the turns.  The spring installation varies from car to car, but with the SRT Viper “open chassis concept”, its really easy to remove the factory struts.  Like any car, once you remove the shocks/springs, you need to get an alignment.  With the Eibach Springs now added to the car, we can finally have a nice stance that gives function too.

For those that did not know, the Gen 5 Viper springs are the same fitment as the new Gen 6 Viper.  Check out all the installation pictures below and shop our entire Eibach Store here.
