Mission 7 – Correcting the Corrected

As we all know the Porsche is suppose to be one of the most premier cars next to a Ferrari. The purist say you don’t need to upgrade anything cause it handles perfect and blah blah blah blah blah. BS… With our experience in racing no matter what type of vehicle, you want to improve upon handling. Stiffing the chassis, reducing body roll, and change the vehicle dynamics is what makes you go faster. Like any car, you need to correct the over and under steer that a car has by adding on sway bars. Project 996 received a set of H&R sway bars to start its improvement. As well, Agency Power supplied a set of upgraded spherical bearing rear sway bar links.

H&R offers a great sway bar setup. Increasing the front and rear diameter helps in stiffing the chassis substantially. The rear sway bar is 3 way adjustable to help compensate for the rear engine rear wheel drive car. The beefy front sway bar adds more push as well.

Installation on the bars is not difficult. The rear bar is open to the element and very easy to change. The sway links come right off the bottom of the strut and the bar drops in seconds. The front sway bar is a bit more time consuming. You have to remove the under panels and a couple of cross braces to access it. But once done, it drops fast. The installation of the front and rear with a lift takes about 2-3 hours total.

The final upgrade is the Agency Power rear sway bar links. These beefy, sturdier endlinks are CNC machined and include monoballs for a flawless NO flex upgrade. The stainless steel hardware adds longevity and strength to the already complete kit. Think they don’t help? Your wrong, the amount of force the sway bar goes through easily twists the small factory links. These Agency Power links add both functionality and style to your Porsche 996.
