The Next Chapter – Vorsteiner Gen II, Red Lips, Raw Power

Ah yes the Vivid Racing Porsche 997 Turbo keeps getting even more epic as the time goes by.  I would say this is one of the longest project cars at almost 3 years old, but definitely one of the most accomplished and diverse.  Our newest editions are from the Vorsteiner Gen II aero package. This slate gray 997 Turbo features elequant styling from front to back. In the front of the car, the Vorsteiner front bumper features a wrap around carbon fiber lip spoiler and carbon fiber radiator ducts. As a complete OEM replacement, the front bumper adds not only functional aerodynamic gain, but some astound styling.  Splitting the hood and bumper is the Agency Power carbon fiber hood grill.  Not only stylish, but functional like the GT2 and GT3 for further cooling of the front center radiator.  The side gets beefed up with a pair of TechArt side skirts.  Our newest edition done in-house at Vivid Racing’s carbon fiber division are these GT2RS carbon ducts.  We modified the factory duct and removed the split and then overlaid them with a nice glossy carbon fiber material.

To the rear of the car features Vorsteiner’s new 997.2 Turbo rear bumper with the upgraded LED tail lights.  The new Porsche OEM tail lights offer a more flowing look and feel to the 997.  This next generation rear bumper is for the 2010-2012 911’s, but will work with the earlier models that have converted to the new lights. With an aggressive carbon fiber rear diffuser, the quad exhaust tips sit stoutly out the rear.  The rear bumper also features carbon fiber intercooler ducts which are visible behind the rear wheels.  Bend down and you can see the larger Agency Power upgraded intercoolers in place.  The creme de la creme of the Vorsteiner aero kit is their rear wing and decklid. This component features accoutrements of the GT3 and GT2. The top blade is done in 100% carbon fiber and is then mated to the lower decklid. The decklid which on this vehicle is all carbon fiber as well, features side air intakes to direct airflow to the intake box like the Porsche GT2. On the top of the decklid are 2 more ducts in carbon fiber similar to the GT3 which also feed the intake box.  With our air intakes placed in the fender well, these ducts keep cool air flowing to the Y Pipe and keeping those IAT’s down.  Whether looking at the front or the rear, this heavily transformed 911 speaks loudly if parked or driving down the road.

To further the Vorsteiner Aero Kit package,  Vivid Racing has updated a set of HRE C93 wheels.  The 19 inch setup on stock Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires has custom painted candy red outer lips.  Conforming to the red touches on the rest of the vehicle, this furthers the strong body lines of the 911.  Vivid Racing has also taken this 997 Turbo to the far next level with its VR825 performance package. Consisting of twin GT3076 turbochargers, performance parts from Agency Power, and custom tuning from VRTuned, this 911 on the stock engine block has rocketed to 206.2mph in 1 Mile. That ladies and gents is faster then a Veyron from 0mph to 1 Mile. In addition to the performance parts, Vivid Racing has equipped this car with Brembo’s OEM 2piece slotted replacement rotors to help slow this beast down. The suspension has been tuned with the help of KW’s Variant 3 Coilover System and 3-Way adjustable Agency Power sway bars. Some extra bits to note are the custom valvetronic Agency Power exhaust. At the push of a button the exhaust can open a valve and roars from straight pipes.  With a slate gray painted Agency Power roll bar inside, the cockpit feels more the part and helps stiffen the chassis.  Under the bonnet you will find a AEM water/meth system to keep the high boost pressures happy and a Nitrous Xpress Ntercooler kit which sprays the intercoolers down. Vivid Racing brings to life the Vorsteiner Porsche 997 Turbo aero components with these custom modifications. Want to see more, checkout www.vividracing.com and www.vorsteiner.com.
