The oil-free Pro DRY S is a large three-layer performance air filter featuring synthetic media for maximum convenience. Its progressive layering offers great filtration benefits and dust holding capability without the use of any oils. This type of filter is best suited for street and light off-road use. The oiled Pro 5R is a large five-layer performance air filter featuring finer cotton gauze media for even more airflow and performance. This filter is ideal for street and track use.
Both of the aforementioned media use a 7-inch tall 360-degree radial flow air filter that is surrounded by an open-element cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) polymer housing. The housing sucks in air from the front of your BMW and minimizes hot engine air to deliver optimal performance. The open design is also beneficial in that it allows for easy inspection of the air filter and delivers an aggressive intake note.
The lightweight tubes in this intake system are computer-designed to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit for the best performance possible. The aFe Track Series Carbon Fiber Intake System is made from 100% twill weave carbon fiber, features zero fiberglass, and is clear-coated for the highest quality construction and luster.
