With UTVs becoming more powerful, accidentally slamming into a whoop section or running into an unexpected obstacle is increasingly common. This can result in bent suspension components such as steering and radius rods. Because of this problem, upgrading your suspension components preemptively is a good idea. Kryptonite, a relatively small company who built its reputation on Duramax steering components, has the perfect kit for your RZR XP 1000.
Their Stage 2 kit includes tie rods for your steering and radius rods for the rear suspension. All of the suspension arms are paired with Heim joints for maximum strength and a larger movement range. Heim joints have very little deflection, so more vibration and shock may be translated into the chassis. With less deflection, however, comes more predictable handling and easier fine-tuning. The body of the rods is made from 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a hex design. These rods are significantly stronger than the stock units and are much less susceptible to bending.
- Much stronger than stock
- Direct bolt-on replacement
- Improved ground clearance
- Made from 6061 T6 Aluminum
- Features adjustable high-strength rod ends
- Durable anodized black finish
- Made in the USA
The rear radius rods feature a different design than the stock units which improves ground clearance. The increased ground clearance is great for off-roading on uneven terrain. The radius rods also feature a larger range of adjustability compared to the stock rods. Best of all, the entire kit is designed and built right here in the USA. Kryptonite backs this kit up with their “No Fine Print Lifetime Warranty” which covers everything except rod ends. They don’t care if you race it, jump it, wreck it, or lift it. If you manage to break their parts they will replace them.
