Their Quattro systems revolutionized rally racing in the 80’s and got them weight restricted in road course racing in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Audi simply is an incredibly well built vehicle. Besides its race heritage, these older vehicles are very affordable and are hot in the aftermarket world. Everything from suspension components, turbo upgrades, exhausts systems, pulleys are available. If you get one of the later 3.0L supercharged S4’s, even better! Unlike it’s all wheel drive competitor, the Subaru STI, there has not been a bolt-in roll bar or cage available for the Audi A4 or S4 B6-B8 models.
