The Nissan GTR pays homage to the history Nissan has in automotive racing. Being their only supercar, Nissan pays respect to the Skyline chassis in the best manner possible. Achieving the supercar title was thanks to the 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 under the hood of the new Godzilla. Rightfully taking the new title, there is a good reason why.

Since the GTR is prone to shooting flames with just minor modifications, it became known as “Godzilla” to the general public as it resembled the mythical creature. Nissan knew about the concentrated heat in this area which lead them to design heat shields around the exhaust. This heat shield protects the bumpers from getting burned when the exhaust heats up.

AutoTecknic decided to add a touch of performance to the heat shields. Developing a carbon fiber mold to fit directly over the factory shield. The elegant 2×2 twill weave carbon fiber provides an immense performance look that compliments the aggressive styling from the GTR. Featuring a UV resistant clear coat eliminates the chance of the carbon yellowing in the sun.

To install, simply remove the factory exhaust surrounding trim and replace it with AutoTecknic carbon fiber piece. An OEM fitment was achieved due to the 100% vacuumed process that forms the panel perfectly around contours and clipping points.

“Nissan knew about the concentrated heat in this area which leads them to design”

“Leads” should be “lead” to keep past tense in the sentence.

Love the parts and the blogs!
