One of the best parts of owning a Jeep Wrangler is the massive aftermarket support which allows you to make your ride more unique. For many JL Wrangler owners, a fresh set of aftermarket wheels is a necessity to set them apart from the pack and give their Jeep a more customized appeal. Of course, there are hundreds of JL Wrangler wheels on the aftermarket, so finding the right set of wheels can be a challenge.

To help you along, we have compiled this list of the top five best wheels for the Jeep JL Wrangler. It should be noted, though, that this list is in no particular order and takes into account factors like overall construction, styling, fitment, and durability. If you want to see what else is on the market, be sure to check out Vivid Racing Wheel Shop here. After all, wheels can tell a lot about a person and can really help exude the type of vibe or aesthetic you want from your Jeep.

1. VR Forged D14 1-PC Wheel

VR Forged offers an impressive lineup of wheels for all types of car people, be it showgoers, off-roaders, performance enthusiasts, and the likes. The VR Forged D14 monoblock wheel is a top choice for the Jeep JL Wrangler because it combines a solid construction with rugged styling and impeccable performance. This one-piece forged wheel was specifically designed for off-road vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler with a sturdy construction and bold aesthetic that looks like it should have come right on your vehicle from the factory. It spotlights a unique design with a machined ring around the outer edge and six spokes all around to give off that dual effect that captures the eyes.

Not only does the VR Forged D14 wheel look tough, but it is also incredibly strong so it can withstand the elements of trail riding and spirited driving. Manufactured using a 10,000-ton press means that these wheels are durable enough to last you the duration of your vehicle and handle everything that comes their way. For the JL Wrangler, the D14 wheel comes in a 17×8.5 size with a -1mm offset and 5×127 bolt pattern. They weigh in at 11.55 kilograms each (25.5 pounds) and have a load rating of 1500 kilograms (3306 pounds). All VR Forged wheels include center caps and are designed to work with most OEM TPMS sensors, OEM brakes, and most big brake kits.

2. Method MR312

The next wheel on our list comes from Method Race Wheels. They are one of the biggest names in the off-road industry, so it’s no wonder their wheels are incredibly popular on JL Wranglers. The MR312, in particular, is one Method’s most popular wheels thanks to its unique design and affordable price. While the MR312 may have been modeled after the brand’s MR106 wheel, it brings innovative styling along with rock-solid reliability so you can benefit from it no matter if it’s your daily driver, weekend rig, or both.

Upon first glance, the MR312 may look identical to the MR106, but there are some key differences to spot. The MR312 has less of a concave look than the MR106 and the spokes don’t reach as far to the edge of the wheel, giving it a slightly smaller look. One big difference between these two wheels is the beadlock. The MR312 is designed to be a very street-friendly wheel, and as such does not use a real beadlock system, but uses an all-new Version 3 “Street-Loc” ring. By design, removable stainless steel bolts around the lip are protected against shearing, while the concave split-six spoke design keeps things simple and clean.

3. Fifteen52 Turbomac HD

Fifteen52 has become massively popular thanks to Ken Block. Most Fifteen52s are known for having a somewhat blocky and chunky design, and that’s what makes Fifteen52 wheels so unique compared to other wheels on the market. For the JL Wrangler, Fifteen52 offers their Turbomac HD, which was inspired by the continued success of the original Turbomac wheel design. They come in two finishes for Jeep fitment: Magnesium Grey and Block Bronze.

The Turbomac HD is essentially an off-road-worthy version of Fifteen52’s very popular Turbomac series. With a simple five-spoke design and motorsports-inspired vented outer ring, the Turbomac HD is vastly different than anything else available for the JL Wrangler on the aftermarket. Like the Method Racing MR312, this wheel doesn’t use a real beadlock; instead, it features a simulated beadlock ring with stainless-steel hardware for added corrosion resistance to keep your wheels looking better for longer.

4. Venom Rex VR501

In the automotive market, Vorsteiner is one of the most popular wheel manufacturers available. Their Venom Rex brand takes all the knowledge of building high-quality wheels for high-performance cars and brings it to the off-road market. The VR501 is the only wheel they currently offered in JL Wrangler fitment. The 17-inch fitment is the company’s lightest wheel yet, delivering bold styling in a solid package that is as tough as it looks.

The Venom Rex VR501 combines the brand’s innovative design language with the robust and rugged styling associated with traditional truck wheels. The VR501 utilizes the same styling as Venom Rex’s VR602 wheel, but adapted it to a 5-lug version. This wheel uses a very simple split five-spoke design with a modern and angular touch in the form of a unique lip and concave spokes. One of the best features of the VR501 is its strong flow-form construction, which allows for superb strength without the high cost of a fully forged wheel. The VR501 for JL Wrangler is available in Coal Black, Highland Bronze, and Tungsten Graphite.

5. Black Rhino Armory

Last, but certainly not least, are the Black Rhino Armory wheels. Without even looking at a photo of these wheels, you can assume that these are some rugged wheels just from the name. That’s not a false assumption at all. These wheels are perfect for JL Wrangler owners and adventurers who want the look of an old military wheel on their rig, without the insanely high rotation mass of a military wheel. The Armory wheel from Black Rhino looks as though it came straight from a battle zone and, for that reason, is the right weapon of choice for your off-road Jeep.

These wheels are truly unique from almost any other wheel on the market and will give your JL Wrangler a super aggressive appearance. The Armory wheel features a modular design with military-inspired details (i.e. the bolted face) and a bolt-on center cap featuring the Black Rhino brand logo. These wheels come in a stunning Desert Sand color or Gunblack finish. If you are looking to make a dramatic statement with your Jeep JL Wrangler, look into the Black Rhino Armory wheel for an intimidating look that will truly set your ride apart from the rest.
