Automotive enthusiasts know, very well, how much of a beast the BMW M5 is. It’s basically a supercar slaying sedan. Unfortunately, the greatness of the M5 often overshadows any five series BMW below it, such as the 550i. BMW enthusiasts know the 550i know that with a little bit of modification, the 550i can be quite a powerful sedan without the hefty price tag. Of course, the typical intake and exhaust modifications are a good way to bump up power, but without a quality tune you can never optimize the power gains of any modifications, and this is where our tuning division, VR Tuned, comes in with their 550i E60 tune.

- Tuned power: 390 HP and 384 FT-LBS
What an ECU tune does, adjusts the parameters the engine runs within. Parameters such as air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, shift points, and more, are all adjusted. By adjusting these to be a little bit more aggressive, power can be increased. In the case of the E60 550i, there is a 23 horsepower increase and a 23 ft-lb increase. On top of the power increase, throttle response is improved greatly. Increased torque with improved throttle response means your 550i will pull off the line much faster and pull out of corners much faster as well.
