Even with only about 200 ponies, when you are going fast, you need to stop! Vivid Racing’s number 1 choice for brakes has always been Brembo. This includes cars such as our Project 996TT, Project CLS63, Project E90 M3 to name a few. The same engineering that goes into their F1, ALMS, Grand Am, and OEM products goes into these aftermarket brake upgrade kits. We decided with all the Agency Power go fast mods that it was time to step up our brake game behind the 19 inch Gram Lights 57 Extreme Wheels. Every Brembo brake system is designed to work with the rear factory braking system no matter the size. With a majority of the weight in the front from the engine, typically 80% of the braking is done by the front and that is where some attention needs to be focused.
This front Brembo upgrade kit for the FR-S, BR-Z, and GT-86 includes a 6piston caliper with 355mm 2 piece rotors. All Brembo kits also include street brake pads and steel braided brake lines. Options for the Brake caliper is red, yellow, silver, or black. Though Vivid Racing has done custom colors as seen on our Project vehicles. Rotors can be had in drilled or slotted. For our purpose, we went with the drilled. The 2 piece rotors give a even wear of the brake pad and help dissipate heat more. With the huge upgrade in brake size, this should not be a issue anyways.
