Brixton Forged RF7: Everything You Need to Know

If you’re into high-end cars and high-end wheels, then you’ve probably heard of Brixton Forged. Their wheels are popular on supercars and high-end sports car. To offer wheels at a lower price point and increase their customer base, Brixton Forged has offered Radial Forged wheels which are cheaper than their standard Forged wheels. The RF7 is their newest Radial Forged wheel and is sure to be a popular one.

RF7 vs PF7

If you’re familiar with Brixton Forged’s wheel lineup, you may have noticed the RF7 looks nearly identical to their existing PF7 wheel. RF7 and PF7 share the same design, but they are constructed in different ways. The PF7 is a fully forged wheel offered in a one-piece, two-piece, or three-piece configuration, compared the RF7 which is Radial Forged and only offered in a one-piece configuration. The reason you would opt for the new RF7 over the old PF7 is the price.

By using a Radial Forged construction for the RF7, Brixton Forged could bring the price down significantly. Radial Forged uses rotary forged technology. Flow Forged wheels are not designed or engineered to be vehicle specific, compared to Radial Forged which for specific vehicles allowing for the best weight/strength ratio and the best fitments possible. With each wheel being specifically engineered and designed per application it maximizes the performance benefits.

Design and Construction

As mentioned above, the design of the RF7 is the same as the PF7. It’s a something like a classic split five-spoke design, but with a modern mesh design. The design can flow well on nearly any supercar or sports car. The lightweight design improves acceleration, handling, and braking by reducing rotational mass and unsprung weight. It might not be as strong as a fully forged wheel, but it’s more than strong enough for street use and even track use depending on the application.
