We got a brand-new project here at Vivid Racing: a 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S. It’s a proper six-speed manual model with 355 horsepower stock and 295 pound-feet of torque from its 3.8L flat-six engine. The 997 Carrera S was based on the same platform as its predecessor, but with some enhancements in the form of a wider body and better performance. It’s not all about speed with these cars, though, but the overall style, responsive handling, and enjoyable experience behind the wheel. With that said, we gave this stock 2006 Carrera S a total makeover with 8 different modifications to turn it into a complete track monster – all while maintaining its iconic Porsche DNA.
Improvements were made in the overall look, sound, performance, and handling of this Carrera S with added power gains, comfort, control, styling, and efficiency. The mod list includes everything from a custom steering wheel, new carbon seats, and a roll bar to aero parts, coilovers, wheels, air intake, ECU flash tune, and more! We left no stone unturned in the making of this project Porsche; it now looks, feels, sounds, and performs like a proper sports car. And while it’s still recognizable, it delivers an entirely new driving experience.
