Corsa Releases New Black Out Heat Shield for 2020-2021 Corvette C8

Right from the factory, the new mid-engined C8 Corvette is a true work of art, designed to be an automotive masterpiece with eye-catching body lines and supercar levels of performance. Even so, there are still some areas where things can be improved and one comes from the abundance of heat that radiates from its large engine displacement.

The solution to this problem comes in the form of heat shielding – a process that has been utilized as necessary throughout the C8’s 6.2-liter engine cavity and exhaust system to protect the vehicle from excessive heat coming from the V8 heartbeat. And so, Chevrolet has added additional heat shielding behind the Corvette’s rear tires to act as a defense against extreme exhaust heat.

While the aluminum reflective substrate material GM opted to use is in fact effective, it is quite the eyesore and takes away from the stunning lines of the C8’s rear valance. With that said, the experts at CORSA have created a more attractive alternative: the Black Out Heat Protection Shield. This product eliminates the issue of the aforementioned “eyesore” and adds even more heat protection with black heat shielding technology from the CORSA Performance team. When placed behind the rear wheels, the heat shielding provides an extra layer of defense and gets rid of that reflective stock shield that can be seen through the C8’s exhaust tip bezels. Moreover, it’s super simple to install using the self-adhesive – simply peel and stick. Voila!

Features:

  • 10 mil black-coated Aluminum heat Shield with 1/8″ composite glass core
  • Tested to withstand temperatures up to 1750º F
  • Proprietary high temp black coating
  • Flexible and Pre-shaped to easily fit C8 rear tire cavity
  • Adhesive not affected by temperature, wind, or water
  • Absorbs Sound and Cuts Road Noise by up to 50%
  • 10-Minute Peel-and-Stick Installation Process
  • Installation Guide
  • 1-Year Warranty

Fitment:

  • 2020-2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8 (6.2L V8)

Note: Every vehicle-specific CORSA product is engineered and designed to match the unique properties of the vehicle it is designed for to deliver perfect fitment and performance
