Developed by Cosworth’s expert engineering team to produce power and torque capable of turning heads on the road and race track, the Stage 2.0 Cosworth FA20 Power Package range delivers an increase of up to 80bhp for the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT-86.
A fully validated system that combines intake manifold, intercooler and positive displacement supercharger to create a unique design, the Stage 2.0 FA20 Power Package delivers a consistent increase in engine performance. Engineered to the levels of excellence required by Cosworth’s global vehicle manufacturer customers, the Stage 2.0 FA20 Power Package provides excellent throttle response at low engine speeds and a sustained performance increase even in demanding race track conditions.
Easy to install and supplied with Cosworth engineered ECU calibrations for both the stock exhaust and the Cosworth free flowing sports exhaust system, the Stage 2.0 FA20 Power Packages unleash the full potential of the FA20 engine platform to make your vehicle a joy to drive.Cosworth’s approach was to deliver significant performance benefits safely but to ensure that reliability of the owners car was not compromised. For the stage 1 Power Packs this is some of the process they went through:
- Researched and tested existing component suppliers and from this selected the preferred partners – Nameless Performance for the exhausts and EcuTek for the calibration
- Each component part of the kit was then carefully designed in CAD and fed into GT Power for further analysis before they produced anything
- 100-hours dyno running on ‘Nurburgring cycle’
- 10,000 miles live road testing
- 2,000 miles live track testing
Stage 2.0 Positive Displacement Supercharger
Cosworth has engineered a premium quality supercharger that delivers boost in direct relation to engine speed giving the performance feel of a much larger engine. Rated to a top speed of 20,000rpm the Cosworth PD Supercharger delivers boost sufficent to deliver an 80hp Stage 2 power increaseat 70% capacity providing plenty of room for further performance development.
Stage 2.0 Lightweight Intake Manifold & Intercooler Cores
Cosworth has designed a unique inlet manifold with integrated custom intercooler cores to mount the Cosworth PD supercharger above the FA20 engine for a more reliable and durable upgrade solution. Water-cooled, and exclusive to Cosworth the inlet and intercooler system provides outstanding throttle response and is rated to provide sufficient air charge cooling for up to 380hp output.
Stage 2.0 Low Temperature Radiator
Maximum air charge cooling is essential to ensure Cosworth FA20 Stage 2 Power Packages deliver sustained, dependable uplifted performance – mile afte rmile, lap after lap. To achieve this Cosworth has developed a high efficiency low temperaqture radiator with a 4-pass design to provide maximum cooling for the supercharger Exclusive to Cosworth, the custom designed radiator ensures maximum efficiency and reliability as your engines heats up under load.
