The 2011 BMW 335is minds the gap between the German marque’s 335i model and its more powerful M3 sibling. At the heart and soul of the 335is is the award-winning, twin-turbocharged 3.0-lite inline-6 engine, specially tuned and equipped to deliver 320 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. It also has an overboost function that permits short bursts of 370 pound-feet of torque.

While a six-speed manual transmission is standard equipment on the 335is, BMW also offers it with a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (for the first time ever on a non-M 3 Series). In short, the “s” in 335is stands for sport and it’s not hard to see why. It’s a great performance vehicle for those looking to experience true BMW power without jumping to the top-tier M3.
