The Honda Civic has always been a popular choice for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and affordability. And the Coupe variant has always boasted a bit more daring design compared to its sedan counterpart. With that said, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe certainly impresses with its bold appearance which includes a fastback-like rear end and wraparound taillights. In fact, this looks virtually identical to the bright green Civic concept that wowed audiences at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. To top it off, the car’s bright hue known as Energy Green got passed down to the production stage and is the color on the model in this post.
The 2016 Honda Civic LX-P Coupe featured in this post belongs to our customer Nathan Sholes (IG: mean_green_jdm). Dressed in the eye-catching green exterior paint, this Civic does not need much to stand out in a crowd. Even so, Nathan opted to swap out its stock shoes with a set of the popular Rays Gram Lights 57DR wheels. He went with 18×9.5 +38 size wheels all around in a beautiful contrasting Eternal Blue Pearl finish that really elevates the electrifying exterior aesthetic.

The latest iteration of the popular Gram Lights 57D, the Gram Lights 57DR is a North American Exclusive model which is not available in Japan. With the addition of -R standing for RACE, the 57DR features an even more aggressive design than the 57D. Its super concave face is perhaps the most popular feature of its design, as well as the TE37-like narrower spokes. From street use to racing and drifting, all aspects were addressed to offer a high-performance wheel at an affordable price. And the bowed spokes allow ample clearance for big brake kits like the ones from Spoon, Wilwood, or Stoptech. What’s more, the 57DR wheel comes in a number of attractive finishes in sizes ranging from 15 inches to 18 inches.
